The Kai Ora Collective is all about building a local food economy for the Wellington region that:

  • regenerates our whenua;

  • encourages and rewards local growers fairly, and;

  • provides affordable access to fresh healthy kai in our communities.

What does it cost? | He aha te utu?

Each pack is $15. Packs are available weekly - you don’t have to get a pack every week. Get one or more, as often as suits you and your whānau.

Who can get a Fruit & Vege Pack? | Mā wai e tono?

Anyone can get a pack - there’s no eligibility required. Simply complete a registration form and you’re good to go!

What produce will I get? | He aha ngā hua māku?

Our fruit and vege packs contain a range of fresh, seasonal produce. It varies from week to week but generally you’ll get 3-4 varieties of fruit and 3-4 varieties of vegetables. We let you know the pack’s contents in advance.

Some pick-up locations also offer regular extra items such as a carton of eggs.

Where does the produce come from?

Your produce comes from Market Gardeners Wellington, a well-established, organised group of local growers that sell to the Collective at wholesale prices.

Where can I pick up my pack?

You can pick up your pack from one of 39 pick-up locations in the greater Wellington region. See where they are on this location map.

Can I choose my own produce?

You can’t choose what’s in the $15 packs – these vary each week depending on what’s available. But you can choose your own produce through our online ordering platform. This is currently available at 8 pick-up locations.
